My posts have been delayed and far between lately as the evolution of my existence is taking on many great beginnings. Christmas was beautiful... gifts were small but the love surrounding me was so big it makes my heart swollen with joy! The New Year was epic because my true love asked me to be his forever!!!! I cannot wait to be his wife :) My thoughts lately have been captured by the fantasy surrounding wedding arrangements. I never knew there were so many fine details to planning a wedding and it has proved to be a lot of fun! As for my artistic endeavors, I have been sharing the gift of song with many in need and it feels so good to my soul. My twin and I have also begun our lifelong dream of collaborating on a project together that is morphing into something so great even words cannot describe. And in the world of vintage, I have lucked upon some of the most amazing pieces to add to the collection, I can only blame it on the amazing energy surrounding me.
2012 is going to be a great year indeed!

Wednesday Dec 7th 2011,
Today was a great day! I awoke 15 minutes before I normally do, giving me time to actually get all of my shit done and get to work on time. 10:00 AM a mannequin falls on my nose leaving a slight gash and bruise, it doesn't matter because at 1:00 pm I discover that I was published alongside my new photographer buddy Jesse Koska in a very popular fashion photography blog called Ben Trovato hooray for us! 5pm I meet with my other photography buddy Stephanie May to discuss a future project. 5:45 my dad texts and asks me out for sushi, Thanks dad how did you know I was craving sushi tonight??!! 8:30 pm I arrive home to my Marc Jacobs platforms I won on EBAY!!!!!

December is here, according to some, its the best time of year. I have my qualms about the Christmas season in America, however, I will spare my negative thoughts and instead focus on the positive. It is, after all, the only time of year you can ask for things without having a reason. So here goes. My top 5 most wanted items for Christmas

I had the pleasure of chatting with Thompson Fifteen owner, Chelsea Eager, not too long ago. I get a kick out of making new friends in the world of fashion and arranged a meeting to get the scoop on her latest business venture! What I really dig about Chelsea is that she has a certain je ne sais quoi that only a person having lived in New York City can possess. Her online store, though based in Nashville, has a level of style that can easily cross over into many metropolitan markets! Read our interview below!!

What is the backstory of Thompson Fifteen?

I moved to NYC for an internship for my last semester of college. At the end of the semester, I ended up getting hired with the company selling women's contemporary wholesale to East Coast boutiques and department stores. Selling to these buyers on a regular basis made me realize I wanted to be a buyer myself. I was tired of shopping at the same stores because it was the only thing I could afford on my budget. So I combined the two ideas. I knew that there was a market for girls like me -- girls who are on a budget and want the latest and the greatest. I felt like I was the perfect buyer for that market. At that time all this was going on, I was living on Thompson Street in apartment 15. It was the birth place of it all, and ascetically "fifteen" is one of my favorite words.

2. How has your life changed since you opened your online shop Thompson Fifteen?

I'm busy!!!

3. What is your philosophy on style?

A few good staple pieces are crucial. The whole idea of style, to me, is the way you express yourself. You have to be comfortable in what you are wearing; when you are wearing something you love and feel good in, it totally effects your attitude and vibe. You gotta love it and rock it.

4. Who is the Thompson Fifteen girl?

She is the girl who loves the latest styles and happenings. She appreciates personal style, self-expression, and wants all of this within her budget.

5. Why Nashville ?

Originally the plan was to move from Manhattan and find a space in Austin, Texas for Thompson Fifteen. I came to Nashville for the summer to hang with my older brother in the middle of my move. I never left. I met some incredibly talented people that have become some of my best friends. The people in Nashville have filled a void that I had been searching for since before college. All of my friends have played a crucial role in the building of T15; they are amazing. I have best friends that are hair stylists, PR gals, and business women to the max. Why would I want to be anywhere else?!

6.If you could be costume designer for one movie what would it be?

"Almost Famous!!!!!" Obsessed with it. I love the style of the 70s rock band. I love the long hair, fringe, fur, kimonos, high-waisted jeans, and crop tops. I think I'll always wear all of these things.

7.Who is your style icon?

My mom. She can wear anything and look so graceful and beautiful. When I was younger, she was always dressed in the most beautiful Ralph Lauren long skirts, cream vests, and tall boots, and of course, her turquoise jewelry. I've never seen her wear a T-shirt. She told me once, "Ladies don't wear T-shirts." As a child she never tried to dress me. She would buy me all these cool, random clothes. I would put together the weirdest things, and she would always rave over how beautiful my outfit was. She gave me that creative freedom at a young age, which I am very grateful for. She is a classic beauty.

Jeanloup Sieff

I love new/old discoveries! Like when you see an image and admire it, but never really know whose image it is. Such is the case with Jeanloup Sieff. I have always loved his work without knowing it was his until I was reading the pages of Italian Vogue and realized he was the photographer of some of the most iconic images of all time!

Jeanloup Sieff (November 30, 1933 – 20 September 2000) was a fashion photographer.
Sieff was born in Paris to parents of Polish origin. His interest in photography was first piqued when he received a Photax plastic camera as a birthday gift for his fourteenth birthday. He recalled his holidays in Polish winter resort of Zakopane as a period when photographing newly met girls he got really hooked on photography. In 1953 he attended the Vaugirard School of Photography in Paris, later on moved to the Vevey School in Switzerland, and in 1954 he was already working as a freelance reporter, leaving aside his brief interest in cinema.
In 1956 he began shooting fashion photography, and in 1958 he joined the Magnum Agency. His work for them made him travel to Italy, Greece, Poland and Turkey. He settled in New York for a number of years in the 1960s, where he worked for Esquire, Glamour, Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, becoming extremely popular in America.
He won a number of prizes, including the Prix Niepce, the Chevalier des Arts et Lettres in Paris in 1981 and the Grand Prix National de la Photographie in 1992. He photographed many celebrities, among them Jane Birkin, Yves Montand, Alfred Hitchcock, Jacques-Henri Lartigue, Yves Saint-Laurent, and Rudolf Nureyev. Dancers and nudes were two recurring themes in his works. Jeanloup Sieff died in Paris, September 20, 2000 at the age of 66. His daughter, Sonia Sieff, is a known photographer.

The Touch, the feel of Prabal.

Two words that came to mind when perusing the racks of Prabal Gurung's Spring 2012 collection were Sophisticated and Sensual. This makes sense as the collection's inspiration derives from Noboyushi Araki's "Sensual Flowers" series. Two of my favorite pieces were the "peekaboo" purple dress and the engineered printed blazer. Both pieces in keeping with a very wearable appeal. For those of you who are unfamiliar with, Prabal Gurung, he is a New York based designer by way of Nepal. A graduate of Parson's School of Design, his unique combination of simplicity and Panache has drawn accolades in the fashion community. The experience of seeing and feeling the collection up close really makes one appreciate the craftsmanship and true design involved in the collection.

nD festival fashion show

The Belcourt theater is one of Nashville's cultural staples, and what better venue to host a fashion show. Last night marked the closing of the 2nd annual nD festival complete with a fabulous fashion soiree. For those not in the know, the nD festival is a weeklong event set to raise funds for the Belcourt theater and it's many contributions to the arts in Nashville. The event kicked off with silent bidding for prizes donated by several Nashville vendors. After guests mingled, the festivities continued with a 3 part fashion show by designers Jamie and the Jones, Bodkin and Steven Alan. Each collection was preceded by a video presentation to compliment each collection, how very suitable for a movie theater! And of course a night in Nashville is never complete without music. Ears were abuzz with sets by the likes of Holly Williams and Indie country darling Nikki Lane.
The festivities were capped off with desserts in the 1966 theater and a dash through the back door!

nD Festival Opening Night Party!

Last night marked the opening reception of the nD festival held at Elan Salon in Green Hills! When I received the invite I thought it a bit odd to have an opening reception at a salon, and much to my suprise, the atmosphere was very fitting for the event! Each entryway was flanked by a gorgeous installation of ballerinas from Nashville Ballet. Each girl modeling some heavy duty up dos looking supremely divine in jewelry by Sleeveless. Amongst the events fashionables were some of my fellow Nashville Fashion bloggers, Alicia Boswell of Nashville Fashion Events, Carla Antonelli of Stella Shops, Sierra Jacobson of Lookbookmag.com and Zarna Surti of Zarnasrunway.blogspot.com. Before leaving for the evening I had the great pleasure of running into my favorite Nashville Fashion maven Libby Callaway as well as the gals from Jamie and the Jones. Can't wait for the show on Sunday!

Nordstrom Nashville Gala

I had the wonderful advantage of attending the Nordstrom gala last night as a freelance make up artist for Laura Mercier! I arrived wearing goosebumps and a 1920s vintage dress at 5pm to prep for the event. After checking in, it was as if the pearly gates of fashion heaven had been open to me. Guys, I am a champion shopper, I have shopped all around the world in high and low end boutiques, but to know that Chanel, Gucci, Givenchy etc. resides in our fair city made me feel like a proud grandparent on graduation day. Yes Nashville; we have graduated to the big leagues of Fashion!!! My role for the night was to walk around the store, greet customers and model our fragrances, giving me the perfect opportunity to promote Laura Mercier as well as get the scoop for my loveroffashion lovelies!! My first stop, of course, was the Chanel Salon where I met the lovely, Ally, Personal stylist for Chanel. Ally gave me a concise tour of the salon, we even tried on the gorgeous Fall 2011 tassel earrings! I then headed over to the contemporary department that housed brands such as Marc by Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, Rag and Bone and so many others. I was stunned by the Marc by Marc Jacobs fall collection, panther print lame' holds a special place in my heart!

The doors finally opened to the public at 7:00 and all of Nashville's fashionables arrived via red carpet. My favorite part of the evening was the live model sets. Every half hour, on two different levels, a group of models would freeze pose for 30 minute increments wearing the most amazing couture pieces. It felt like I had stepped into a 1960s movie set!! Dinner was served and the most exquisite cakes were on the dessert menu...I did manage to sneak a chocolate cake garnished with 24 karat edible gold, how could I possibly resist! After 3 hours of damage on credit cards, DJ sets, and cocktails, the party winded down . Feeling luxurious, I slipped into my most elegant Dior gown and dreamed of the Charlotte Olympia kitty cat wedges I was so tempted to buy!

Yesterday was the debut of the Missoni for Target collection! I woke up really early to check the website only to have it crash on me moments after I signed on. I drove to my local Target before work and luckily I arrived 3 minutes til opening. 10 women behind in line I hightailed it for the clothing rack only to be dissapointed by the color ways and fibers! I was, however, very impressed with the quality and outcome of the home collection. I had been stalking the look books online for ages and had already picked out the pieces I wanted! I was so happy to bring my bundles of zig zag joy home and place them where I had imagined them all these months. I was most impressed with how well the throw pillows matched the burlap wall hanging my boyfriend's mother made in 76'!!! Missoni <3

Fashion's Night Out Nashville

Last night marked the first FNO Nashville! After work I set out for Haven Boutique downtown Franklin, I live close to the area so I made Haven the first stop on my NFO map! I was quite intrigued by their lofty clientele and stunning collections. Some of my favorite pieces were by Haute Hippie, Catherine Malandrino and the drool worthy Erickson Beamon jewelry. Their shoe section is not too shabby either. The beauty of NFO Nashville is, unlike most cities where you have to walk or catch a train to your next destination, I had the luxury of hopping in my car. I made the 20 minute drive to H.Audrey boutique in Green Hills where I met my good friend and fashionable Alexander. I was impressed with the turnout at H. Audrey, the most fashionable crew of the night by far! After perusing the racks and salivating over a Helmut Lang leather jacket, we headed over to Billy Reid where we caught the tail end of Nikki Lane's set where the incredibly hip shopped until the party ended at 8pm. Having a couple more stops on our FNO map we hopped in Alexander's new BMW and arrived at the Gus Mayer event in style ;) We were greeted by the staff and had great conversation about the future of Fashion and couture in Nashville. The night was ended by eating dinner with two fabulous models who shall remain anonymous ;)

Miami and Back!

Miami was a fun and a much needed vacay! I packed a few of my fabulous vintage Pucci pieces and boy am I glad because Miami is the place to wear them! I set out to do some vintage shopping and after a fabulous Italian dinner with Danny, I hit up Fly Vintage Boutique on Lincoln Ave...some of the most amazing vintage pieces I have ever clapped my eyes on! I was seconds away from buying a fabulous pair of vintage Kamali pumps...my pocketbook is thanking me for not taking that plunge! Day 2 I set out for some vintage scores of my own and came across an Out of the Closet! When I lived in LA I frequented Out of the Closet, fabulous scores all around! Amidst my vintage excursions I managed to relax and get some sunshine on the beach! Check out my new Terry de Havilland look alikes!!! By day 4 Danny and I rented a car, did more vintage shopping and hit the road for Key West! I had never been to Key West before and I fell in love with it! Beautiful quaint colonial homes with the most gorgeous palm trees everywhere! We walked to the pier for a seafood dinner and just before sunset, I made a new friend...the sponge monster! Before our drive back to Miami we visited the southernmost tip of the United States...Cowabunga!!
My last day in Miami was spent doing a bit more vintage shopping and walking Ocean drive with Danny.

Grace Mirabella

There is always talk about US Vogue editors Anna Wintour and Diana Vreeland but nobody ever mentions Grace Mirabella. She is known as one of the nicest Vogue editors of all time, and she's Italian nuff said :)

I find her career to be very inspiring,

Her early career started by working in a family friend's sportswear shop and after college, Mirabella held several junior positions in the retail business. In her early career, she worked at Macy's as an executive trainee and Saks Fifth Avenue, as an assistant to the sales promotion manager.
In the early 1950s Grace Mirabella was hired as an assistant at Vogue, where she soon was promoted to editor. During most of the 1960s, Mirabella held the position as editor in chief Diana Vreeland's associate. Eventually, in 1971, Grace Mirabella was promoted to editor in chief. Mirabella was replaced by Anna Wintour in 1988. In the 1990s, she published her own magazine, Mirabella, with the financial assistance of Rupert Murdoch.

Thirty Thirty Thirty!

My 30th birthday party went without a glitch. You know the feeling of anxiety when you plan parties you think of all of the worst possible scenarios. Like, not enough chairs,not enough food, the rain ruining the girls dresses etc. I am happy to say none of the above happened. I planned a 1930s themed birthday party at my house for my twin sister and I, because lets face it, you only turn 30 once! I spent my Saturday morning hanging paper lanterns in the trees, the effect was so romantic and the rain only ruined two of them...phew! The food, catered by the incredible Nashville restaurant "The Mad Platter" arrived around 5:00 when the party was just kicking off. Guests arrived in their finest late 1920s 1930s garb, mingling before the Gypsy jazz band "Hot Club Time Machine" showed up and played until the wee hours of the morning. The night was capped off by a slew of fashionable folk playing dress up in my closets!!!! I have to say 30 is very classy!!

His famed walking picture coats are a fantastic combination of artwork and fashion, which he describes as “pictures with sleeves that you can take off the wall onto the streets”. Leather is the predominant material used in John’s work as “it doesn’t fray at the edges so you get a much cleaner line when creating your images and you can stitch extra fine detail very near the edge. I wanted to create pictures you could take out onto the streets, not precious images safeguarded behind glass or cordoned off. Leather’s durability had an immense appeal.”

His first picture coat was designed in 1969 and inspired by Tolkein’s Lord of the Rings. John explains, “The coat tells the story of the fight of good against evil. The figures you can see are Gandalf on the white horse shadowfax, a tree Ent with one of the dark riders hiding behind and a hobbit confronting Smaug the dragon with ancient runes on the border.” He then went on to design several more picture coats featuring birds, butterflies, sea horses and other famous and mythical creatures.

A particular favourite of John’s was a coat he made in 1977 featuring a Punch and Judy design, “which passed through my hands so quickly I had no time to get it photographed.” He then turned the design into a wall panel for himself as he liked the image, but this too was sold some years later to a writer’s agent in London. He has also worked on several other interesting commissions, including a fabulous peacock coat “commissioned to replace a jealous peacock called Clarence when its owner was married.”

So how does John approach these fascinating works of art? “I look purely at the image or story first, they are not fashion they are beautiful ‘things’. I do have in mind what they will look like when they are worn – all the coats have been bought or commissioned by people who wore them.”

The uniqueness of John’s picture coats has led him to have one of his pieces – a picture coat based on the Egyptian Pharaoh Akhnaton and inspired by an exhibition of Ancient Egyptian Art at the British Museum in 1972 – catalogued by The V&A museum, an honour which he is understandably thrilled about. John says, “Naturally, as a self taught artist, I am pleased to have the endorsement of The V&A for my work. It is now in the permanent V&A Textile Collection and some people have told me that they saw it on display some years ago when it was first taken to the collection.”

This success was tinged with some sadness for John, who missed the coat that had been his own for many years. He explains, “I wore Akhnaton myself as my everyday coat for 13 years. I miss not having it around as it has immense energy.” So he decided to replace Akhnaton in his life with a ‘sister’ coat, Nefertiti, based on the Egyptian Pharaoh’s wife. “The notion of a feminine side had been on my mind for some time. The figures in the coats represent people in my life. Over the years my family life has changed so the ‘sister’ coat includes those changes. They are story coats…they are made when a story needs to be told.”

John’s fabulous interiors work is as striking as his picture coats, reflected by a series of high profile commissions. One such commission was for some 3D patchwork leather wall hangings for the new Hilton Diaganol Mar hotel in Barcelona. For this he created two separate panel designs – a water panel and a mosaic panel. “The water panels are the reflections of the Barcelona shoreline, they are what you see as you fly in on arrival, and the mosaic patterns are my homage to Gaudi” he explains, referring to Antoni Gaudi, a man who greatly influenced architecture in Barcelona and whose work can be seen across the city.

John added a third panel later featuring the streets of Barcelona, “taking in all the flavours of the city”. This panel uses the art of 3D work to its full effect, using mosaic tiles as the buildings allowing you to really feel like you are walking the streets of the fabulous Spanish city. John has produced an extraordinary YouTube video to demonstrate the though process behind the creation of the panels, and it is well worth spending the three minutes watching the video to get inside the mind of a remarkable designer at work. This technique of using animation alongside his designs is a relatively new feature, introduced by John to help people really understand the ideas behind his designs. Last night while reading one of my favorite coffee table books "The Bikini, a Cultural History" I was fascinated by the longevity of the bikini throughout fashion history. I don't believe anything else has stayed relevant in fashion except for jeans. Here is the history of the bikini as told by the book.

The history of the bikini is a checkered one. Though the bikini shocked when it appeared on Swedish beaches in 1947, its origins date back millennia. Depictions of bikini-like garments appear at the Chalcolithic site of Çatalhöyük, and two-piece bikini-like garments were worn by women for athletic purposes in Greece as far back as 1400 BC. Mosaic artwork dubbed "Bikini Girls" dating back to the Diocletian period (286-305 AD) in Rome, Sicily gained significant archeological renown, while statues of Venus in a bikini was found elsewhere in the Roman Empire. In the modern era, the first functional two-piece swimsuit was designed in 1913 by Carl Jantzen. Australian swimmer-performer Annette Kellerman was arrested in 1907 for wearing a two-piece. Later it was made popular by pin-up girls like swimmer-actress Esther Williams, and actresses Ava Gardner, Rita Hayworth and Lana Turner.
The modern bikini was invented by Swedish engineer Louis Réard in 1946. He named it after Bikini Island in the Pacific, the site of the Operation Crossroads nuclear test on July 1, 1946, believing that the burst of excitement it caused would be as explosive as a nuclear device. Since his contemporary Jacques Heim had called his bikini precursor the Atome in view of its size, Réard claimed to have "split the Atome" to make it even smaller. His innovation was largely based on exposing the navel, which was not available with earlier two-piece bathing costumes. Though a moderate hit in France, it was not well accepted in other parts of the world. The Miss World contest in UK, the Hays production code in the US, and the Catholic countries banned the costume. But, the advent of bikinis in popular media, including Ursula Andress's white bikini in Dr. No., Brian Hyland's song "Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini", and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, eventually gained social acceptance for the bikini. By the early 2000s, bikinis had become a US$811 million business annually, and boosted spin-off services like bikini waxing and the sun tanning industries. Further variants were added to the bikini family of beachwears and bathing costumes, contributing to the popular lexicon a variety of -kinis and -inis.

The "Warhol Live" exhibit at the Frist knocked my socks off! I never realized just how involved in music Andy Warhol actually was. From a very early age he was fascinated by composers, dancers and performers, His early work in New York was providing illustrations for some of the greatest albums of all time. Our scope of Andy Warhol and music is Nico and the Velvet Underground, when in fact his influence and taste goes way back to classics such as Count Basie, Judy Garland and so many more. This exhibit was a real eye opener into the fascinating and peculiar life Andy Warhol lived.

Back when I was living in NYC I was styling on the regular. The beauty of NYC is there are so many new fresh faces coming in, it is easy to shoot with some of the best before they become "the best"

I worked with Cecilia Mendez shortly after she moved from Argentina on one of her first shoots in the U.S . at the time she was signed with Supreme and they were testing her to find her look. My photographer friend, Andrew De Francesco booked her and I thought she had the perfect look to do a Peggy Moffitt 1960s themed photo shoot. I styled her in a couple fabulous vintage pieces that I had thrifted in NYC and was really happy with the outcome. The beauty of our photo shoot is, yes her agents were pissed that we "exposed" her but our shoot inspired them to cut her hair off "Peggy Moffitt" style which sky rocketed her career as an it girl in the modeling world!

Saturday my sister and I ventured into the East Village to get haircuts. With much persuading my sister cut her hair into an Anna Karina bob. And I was inspired by Patti Smith to shave a part of my head, Don't worry it is still long, just added a little point of interest. Next, I ducked into some of my favorite Manhattan vintage shops, I wanted this 1930s party dress so bad but it was way out of my comfort zone price wise. We then stopped at my old church, lit some candles and headed to Soho.
My sister split the scene and I window shopped my favorite spots. I cannot believe I successfully bought NOTHING in Soho. Pat on the back.

I had it in my mind that I was going to buy myself something Anna Sui but opted out, instead I met Anna Sui herself. Apparently, she was shopping the store with her niece, I chatted with her for a minute and she let me take a picture with her. She was such a sweet lady, I walked away in shock that I had just met one of my fashion idols.

Later in Brooklyn I met up with some old friends, we ended the night at 4 am in Oslo a coffee shop at which our friend works. The shop was closed only to be opened for us to drink some Chamomile tea and eat Almond paste Croissants. We are Very Important People ;)

Yesterday was a riot. Did not sleep so much the night before but I rose to the occasion.
First stop was the Met museum for the "Savage Beauty" exhibit. After waiting for an hour in line (yes, there were that many people there) we finally got in. The exhibit was beautifully executed. Soundtracks throughout complete with not only clothing but beautiful imagery of McQueen's shows. I am unable to fully describe how I felt about the exhibit, What I can say is I felt a mixture of mourning and awe. I guess when tracking his career I never realized just how complex his mind as a designer worked. This show offers is an insight to a life full of genius and inner struggle. and a close look at how incredible his work was. Chill bumps the whole time.

After the show my bestie Cheroc and I went to Salvation Army to do some picking! I found some killer pieces that will be going into the shop very soon! Later we went for a brick oven pizza at a restauraunt called Donatella which unbeknownst to me is owned by a famous chef. I killed the entire pizza solo! After dinner I stumbled upon the Chelsea hotel. I am reading the book "Just Kids" by Patti Smith, Hotel Chelsea is one of the places she, along with many revered actually lived for a time. I am still fascinated by the different ways people live in NY. I can hardly believe I used to live here, oddly I still consider it home.

Once a year Nashville holds our version of the Kentucky Derby called Steeplechase.
It is a social gathering of dapper gents and smartly dressed ladies in hats. The party begins at 8 am at the tracks at Iroquois near Nashville TN.
Women prepare many months prior getting just the right hat to match the dress, it is very important to look their best!
My best friend Liz is going for the first time today and asked me if I had any hats to spare. FYI I have the mother load of hats of all eras and shapes. We decided with her dress it was appropriate to wear a 1970s black floppy decorated with red and black plumes!! So much fun!

(21 February 1942 – 9 March 1981) was a top professional fashion photographer of the late 1960s through early 1980s. Born in Breslau, Germany (now Wrocław, Poland), he moved to New York in 1965 where he worked as a photographer's assistant until 1967 [1]. He began working for the American edition of Harper's Bazaar in 1968 and for the Italian edition of Harper's Bazaar in 1970. American Vogue became his primary outlet in 1972, but he also worked for its German, French and Italian editions, as well as for Esquire, Playboy, Interview, and Viva magazines. Chris von Wangenheim is also well-known for his successful advertisements for Christian Dior, Calvin Klein, and Revlon.
Supermodel Gia Carangi did her first major fashion shoot with him in October 1978. He also took the notorious photographs of Gia hanging and standing naked against a chain-link fence. Gia did several fashion photographs and layouts with von Wangenheim until his death.
While at the peak of his success, von Wangenheim died in a car crash in March 1981.

The Marchesa Fashion Show at the Symphony was literally breataking! As each piece was sent down the runway I found myself unabashedly gasping aloud at the extravagance and elegance of it all. Exquisite beading, lace and applique detailing amidst a sea of tulle. Just witnessing the show was such an honor, I can only imagine how it must feel to actually wear the clothes, pure art!! The collection is best described as fit for a queen or better yet, Faith Hill who closed the show with an amazing set!

Lady Gaga rocked it last night! I, of course waited til the very last second to get my ticket,
I started doing my makeup at 12pm while at work, thankfully I have full access to whatever line of makeup my heart desires.
My mom is the best concert partner so I called her up and said, "Get ready! We are going to Gaga tonight!" Thankfully she was on board. We hightailed it to Bridgestone arena and got our tickets piece of cake!.... The energy in the room was indescribable. Seeing people old and young dress up and put serious effort into their costumes was amazing! It reminded me of a bygone era (that I was too young to be a part of ) where people dressed up and created an exaggerated extension of themselves in order to connect with their favorite artist, a la Ziggy Stardust, KISS etc.

Gaga has such an effect on people it brought me to tears watching her perform. Yes, she is a little strange, but that is what makes her so interesting to watch.
I can honestly say she is the only artist besides Michael Jackson that is complete and total no bullshit. She is authentic and true to her fans, she works for a cause and has serious talent to back it all up. I am so glad I went to this show!!
