In honor of his success, Truman Capote planned an exclusive invite only event in honor of himself naming it the Black and White Ball. This event was so important, that anyone who was not invited begged for an invitation. The guest list included the very elite and famous. The dress code was black and white clothing and masks.

look at frank and mia! so adorable. although i read he was kind of an asshole to her but let's just be nastalgic for a second. these photos are great. i have never seen anything like them before.
There is actually a whole book on the Black and White Ball called "Party of the Century" sooo amazing!
